A Beautiful Morning for Esther’s Baptism Portraits
Early in the morning, the soft Idaho sunlight lit up the grounds of the Pocatello Idaho LDS Temple. It was the perfect setting for a Pocatello Idaho baptism photography session. Esther arrived wearing a long, elegant white lace baptism dress, looking every bit like the special young lady she is. Her blond hair flowed down her back, and the sweetest detail of all was a white hair bow, embroidered in lavendar with her name — a heartfelt gift made by a family friend.
Esther carried her ring and her scriptures with such reverence. These little touches always make LDS baptism portraits feel so personal and meaningful.

Just as we posed in front of the temple for more portraits, the sprinklers came on — totally unplanned! Without missing a beat, we laughed and ran , her dress flowing and catching the sunlight. Those spontaneous moments are some of my favorites to capture as a photographer, because they show pure joy and personality.
After the sprinklers’ surprise performance, we made our way to the temple’s grand doors. The stained glass panels, decorated with delicate forget-me-not flowers, made the most stunning backdrop. These became my favorite images from the day — full of color, symbolism, and timeless beauty, perfect for child baptism photography keepsakes.
