Senior sessions are always such a special milestone, but when Ashton asked if she could bring her best friend, Willow, along to her session at Cherry Springs Nature Area up Mink Creek, I knew it was going to be extra fun. A best friend session adds so much personality, laughter, and joy—and truly captures this unforgettable season of life.
Even though the wind was blowing like crazy, we decided not to reschedule. I’m so glad we didn’t, because the evening turned out absolutely perfect. The golden light against the rolling hills of Cherry Springs made the ideal backdrop for Ashton and Willow’s session, giving us the most dreamy photos full of movement and energy.

One of my favorite touches came from Ashton’s mom, who brought along a handmade Levi quilt. It added the sweetest personal detail to the photos and blended perfectly with the natural scenery. Moms truly do so much behind the scenes to make senior sessions memorable, and I always love making sure we capture a photo of the senior with their parents, too. Those images are treasures for years to come.
